Big waterslides at sea are nothing new to the biggest cruise lines – all the cruise lines want the biggest, best or most interesting waterslide possible. But it seems that the prize for the biggest has just been scooped by Royal Caribbean…
Harmony of the Seas will have an incredible ten-story waterslide, just one of the four it will have aboard.
The gargantuan slide is known as The Abyss and will take passengers from the ship’s AquaTheater to the Boardwalk.
The other three waterslides are collectively known as The Perfect Storm and will be located near the pools. Their individual names are Cyclone, Typhoon and Monsoon. Sections of these slides will be clear so guests can look down on the ship and Central Park below.
Harmony of the Seas is the third Oasis-class ship and will be the largest cruise ship in the world when it debuts next Spring.
We’re all really excited to finally see Harmony of the Seas in action, even though we still have quite a while to wait!
We know we’ll be on the waterslides, but will you? Is it a great addition to your cruise experience, or another gimmick you’ll avoid? Let us know in the comments below!
