We have the first look inside Emerald Waterways’ brand new ship that is set to sail the Mekong River.
The new star-ship has been given the name Emerald Harmony and although Emerald Waterways has been sailing on the Mekong since 2014 with Mekong Navigator, Emerald Harmony will be the first “star ship” style ship outside Europe.
Its authentic Asian style with a mix of contemporary design will be as vibrant as your surroundings as you sail through Southeast Asia.
Emerald Harmoney will host 84 guests in it’s 42 spacious cabins and suites. Public areas will include a sun deck to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery, pool decks to cool off and a wellness area that’ll include a spa for some well-deserved relaxation.
Exclusive to Emerald Harmony is the Lotus Lounge which is a place to relax and enjoy endless sunsets as the evenings draw in.
The river ship is already making a positive environmental impact by being the first ship in the fleet to eliminate single-use plastics onboard and Emerald Waterways’ has come up with unique ideas to help the project succeed.
Initiatives include complementary metal water bottles for guests that can be refilled at water stations, glass water bottles in cabins and using bamboo straws in the Reflection Restaurant & Horizon Bar. This initiative will eventually be rolled out across the European fleet.

Highlights of the newest ship include the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, the Presidential Reunification Palace and the village of Dat Dua’s coconut candy workshop.
