Royal Caribbean have just announced a first at sea…a teens-only cruise!
With adults-only cruise ships appearing more and more, the line have decided to grant passengers aged 13-19 their very own cruise tailored to them.
The news has revealed that adults will not be allowed onboard the specific sailings, although parents should feel welcome to be present for their teenagers’ embarkation and disembarkation.
Royal have become well known for its vast array of entertainment features and activities, specifically family-friendly options.
A source has stated that the line felt it was time for another step in a direction that means there is something specific for everyone.
Whilst there are kids clubs and adults-only areas onboard the majority of the fleet, teenagers will have access to all of these areas on these sailings.
Adventure of the Seas was chosen based on its teen-friendly features:
-VOOM, the fastest internet at sea with WiFi speeds six times quicker than any other cruise ship
-FlowRider, the onboard surf simulator
-Perfect Storm, the dual racer water slides that twist straight into the pool deck
-Adventure Dunes, the two storey mini-golf course
-Indoor and outdoor cinema with wide selection of screenings
-Rock-climbing wall
-Sports court with table tennis, football and dodgeball
-Video arcade and disco
The ship’s impressive WiFi has been deemed the perfect way for teens onboard to keep in touch with parents and family members at home.
Dates, prices and further details of the teens-only cruises are yet to be announced.
