Episode 3 of “Cruising with Jane McDonald” reveals footage of Jane heading to South America onboard Silversea Cruises’ Silver Muse in the first of a two-part show.
Jane starts her journey in Valparaiso, Chile, before making her way around the bottom of South America to the southernmost Chilean town of Punta Arenas in Patagonia.
On the way there, she visits the breathtaking glacier on Laguna San Rafael and takes part in the customary drinking of whisky on ice (directly from the glacier)!
The ship then heads to the Falkland Islands where Mcdonald takes time to talk to some war veterans in the local pub and to end the first half of her cruise, Jane makes it to Argentina where she learns how to dance the Tango.
Peter Shanks, Silversea’s UK Managing Director, said: “Cruising with Jane McDonald is really watchable television. She has a natural and down to earth way of bringing a travel experience to life- and rightly the first travel programme to be awarded a BAFTA.
I have seen our two Silversea South America episodes- and there are scenes that made me want to book a holiday right there and then!”
The first two episodes of the fourth series focused on Jane Down Under where McDonald visited New Zealand and Australia on Holland America Line’s Noordam.
Lynn Narraway, UK managing director at HAL, said: “‘Cruising With Jane McDonald’ has proven to be a hugely popular show that we’re delighted to see has captured the imagination of the British public.
The series highlights the amazing destinations that can be enjoyed through cruising, and how onboard entertainment and amenities can truly enrich the travelling experience.”
The third episode of “Cruising with Jane McDonald” airs at 9pm on Channel 5 this Friday, June 22nd.
