The official naming ceremony of Britannia will commence on Tuesday morning with Her Majesty The Queen – but she’s not the only recognisable face in attendance! The ship will host a gala dinner for all the VIP guests – who will have had a slightly manic weekend as they hunted the stores for the poshest frocks and elegant hats!
A host of celebrity chefs, Strictly Come Dancing performers, Olympians, actresses’, television presenter’s, authors and comedians will attend.
With so many famous faces there – you’re sure to miss a few if you don’t have your eyes peeled! So read on for our handy checklist of who’s who…
Rob Brydon – The well-loved Welsh actor and comedian is also the face of P&O’s marketing campaign and will be hosting the naming ceremony.
Darcey Bussel – The world class retired ballerina who is now one of the Strictly Come Dancing judges.
Ian Waite – A professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing.
Tess Daly – The famous TV presenter and host of Strictly Come Dancing.
James Martin – One of the nation’s best loved chefs, James has starred in many cookery programmes and presents Saturday Kitchen on the BBC.
Atul Kochhar – Britannia wouldn’t be complete without Atul’s amazing Sindhu restaurant which serves stunning Indian and Asian Fusion Cuisine. Atul has received two Michelin stars and is known as P&O’s “master of spices.”
Vivek Singh – London based Indian chef who is known for his innovative take on Indian cuisine.
Daniel Galmiche – A chef famous for his French food and TV appearances.
Pierre Koffmann – The French born chef with three Michelin stars shall be bringing his expertise to cooking master-classes on Britannia.
Marco Pierre White – Marco was the youngest chef to ever receive 3 Michelin stars and his restaurants are some of the finest on land and at sea!
Olly Smith – Known for his TV appearances and column about wine in The Mail on Sunday, Olly shall be choosing wines for Britannia.
Lawrence Keogh – Lawrence has twenty years’ experience in the culinary world as his cooking career began when he was just 14!
James Tanner – The English chef and TV personality, best known for his restaurant the Tanners in Plymouth.
Nathan Outlaw – The Michelin starred chef is known for his fine seafood. He shall be giving cookery master-classes on Britannia later in the year.
Paul Rankin – A famous chef whose restaurant was the first to receive a Michelin star in Northern Ireland.
Mark Foster – Retired English swimmer and medallist, who has recently starred in Strictly Come Dancing.
Laura Wright – A soprano singer who performs classical and pop crossover music as well as opera.
Nicky Clarke – Famous hairdresser and stylist whose salon empire stretches nationwide.
Sally Gunnel OBE – Olympian who won gold in the 1992 400m hurdles who is now known for TV sports presenting.
Linda Robson – An actress known for her performances in Birds of a Feather.
