Celebrity have just announced the news that its newest ship, Celebrity Edge, will feature Eden: a multi-level culinary and entertainment space.
This mind-blowing venue is the epitome of the new ship’s outward-facing concept and will awaken every one of its guests’ senses in an atmosphere that transforms from chillful mornings to playful afternoons to sinful evenings.
The line has described it as a space with “nature present” and a “room that lives,” adding that no two visits to the venue will be the same.
The 2,900-passenger ship is currently under construction at STX France and president and CEO of Celebrity, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo has said the new ship “re-imagines what it is to be outdoors.”
She continues: “The entire space is magical throughout morning, afternoon, and evening when our guests will experience Eve at Eden, an experience produced by the visionary Variety Worldwide and our very own Cornelius Gallagher. They have all created something magical and magnificent.”
Chillful
Celebrity claim Eden to be a chillful place in the morning with an atmosphere that invites you to explore the morning light; every space is open to discovery.
Eden Café offers a wide variety of morning beverages and casual breakfast bites with a bright and airy aroma and three stories of windows offering stunning views that connect you to the sea.
Cozy Lookout Points are luxuriously furnished and offer the perfect place to chill—on every level.
Celebrity claim that when guests enter Eden in the morning, they will find a “chillful escape where yoga, a good book, or coffee and a croissant can be enjoyed with expansive views of the world.”
Playful
In the afternoon, Eden becomes a playful place where a social vibe kicks in. Guests can join cooking classes, learn new tricks for the tastiest cocktails, and brush up on your wine knowledge with tasting and pairing seminars.
Atmospheric sounds fill the air and unexpected musical performances begin to awaken your senses even further before you can step up to the Eden Bar for an artisanal cocktail made with fresh ingredients from the herb wall.
Cuisine in the Eden venue will be served across three-decks by “Edenists,” as the space also includes 7,000-square-feet of glass.
Sinful
Eden at night is an extravaganza of sensory enchantment and social magic; the evening ushers in the ultimate experience in an indulgently sinful fusion of performance art, culinary treats, and nightlife.
The energy turns inward as the outdoor views fade into darkness whilst Eden Restaurant offers a unique, personal culinary journey that will not only thrill your taste buds, but every other sense as well.
Celebrity states “As the sun sets on Eden, the evening ushers in Eve at Eden, a fusion of performance art, culinary exploration and nightlife – like nothing else at sea – that promises to indulge guests’ every sense in the Eden Restaurant. Here, Edenists will serve a choreographed series of experiential culinary temptations sure to surprise and delight.”
Following dinner, guests will head back upstairs, past the “Tree of Life” where the Library of Plants towers 18-feet above Eden Bar, offering “its bounty of fresh ingredients and garnishes for hand-crafted, artisanal cocktails.”
Three designers partnered with Celebrity to help create the venue, including Scott Butler of Wilson Butler Architects and designer Patricia Urquiola – her first time designing a venue at sea.
Urquiola speaks on the idea behind her work: “In working on Eden with Celebrity, I wanted to design a dynamic environment that changes from morning to night, so guests experience something new every time they visit.”
Whilst Scott Butler explains his goal: “When creating Eden, my goal was to create a connection to the sea in a space that will stir imaginations and leave lasting memories of the travel experience.”

Is there a charge for admission to Eden?
No, it will remain as a free public space onboard Celebrity Edge with no age restrictions so children are welcome too!
How many people does Eden seat?
Eden Cafe (Deck 5) seats 144 guests indoor, and 76 outdoors
Eden Restaurant seats 98 passengers in the dining room with two barstools at its bar

Will Eden count as the ship’s nightclub or evening lounge?
Eden offers evening entertainment with spontaneous performances throughout the day too, but there will also be a seperate nightclub, Club 45 and other bars/lounges open through the evening
What will the menu be like?
Eden restaurant will offer a blend and true integration of culinary, performance art and entertainment. It’s not just a restaurant, but an experience that is immersive, sensory, visual, fun and delicious. The specifics of the set menu will be released at a later date.
Are drinks in Eden included in the drinks packages?
Drinks will be included in the beverage package based on price as they are today across the fleet. If you aren’t interested in dining in Eden, the lounge area and Eden Bar are spaces open for all guests to enjoy cocktails
