Arvia’s Got it All: New P&O Cruises Ship Hosts Over 30 Eateries

The latest addition to P&O Cruises’ expansive fleet, Arvia is to begin sailing in December 2022. Visiting fantastic destinations and travelling in style, guests can look forward to expanding their culinary horizons onboard Arvia at any of the 30 plus food and drink establishments on offer.

Providing more great plate options, Local Food Heroes Shivi Ramoutar and José Pizarro have been entrusted with curating new menus as they bring a wealth of local food experience and knowledge onboard.

Caribbean food queen Shivi Ramoutar will celebrate her passion for Caribbean cuisine at The Beach House where she will be offering sumptuous dishes such as her Jerk Chicken Supreme with rice and peas, coleslaw, shallow-fried plantain.

Acclaimed Spanish chef José Pizarro is providing Mediterranean delicacies in the form of expertly selected tapas dishes, at The Glass House and Cellar Door. Combine the array of bursting flavours with wines selected by Food Hero Olly Smith for elegant and fulfilling food experiences.

Dishes at The Glass House and Cellar Door include Jose Pizarro Tapas with grilled whole tiger prawns, mango, chilli and garlic salsa; lamb cutlets, crushed potatoes, olives, dried cherry tomatoes and romesco sauce; and tuna tartare with avocado, tomato and chilli dressing.

A brand new addition exclusive to Arvia is the Green & Co feat. Mizuhana restaurant where guests can find exquisitely crafted fish and plant-based dishes. Guests can benefit from watching their dishes being crafted before their eyes at the sushi bar, or for a more relaxed dining view, stare out at the ocean.

Green & Co feat. Mizuhana dishes include:

  • Chakalaka Wellington with a South African inspired spiced, smokey tomato sauce, red cabbage gel, corn relish, warm green bean salad, crispy corn kernels and a side of spiced sweet potato pakoras, coconut labneh, pea and mint dip
  • Moriawase Platters Nigiri with yellow fin tuna, Highland salmon, yellow tail, sea bass, maki and tuna uramaki
  • Chocolate Earth Plate with dark chocolate and beetroot pebbles, chocolate mushrooms, tarragon jelly, chocolate soil and non-dairy vanilla gelato

Another brand new eatery for guests onboard Arvia is the all-American 6th Street Diner, serving breakfast, brunch, dinner and sweet treats – all supplemented with a fitting soundtrack and refreshing cocktails.

Dishes will include:

  • Pennsylvania Dutch Waffles with fried chicken and spicy maple syrup
  • New York Strip Steak with grilled asparagus, crispy shallows, garlic butter and fries
  • Red Velvet Whoopie Pie with cream cheese frosting

Flying the flag high for classic British dinners, the brand new Roast at The Quays restaurant serves traditional lunches taken on with a modern twist, including a jumbo Yorkshire pudding consisting of Sunday roast favourites.

Far from a limited choice, some of the other highlights onboard Arvia include:

  • Amber Lounge – easily located in the Grand Atrium, a raft of quality cocktails ease guests in to thrilling live performances going on just above. New cocktails for Arvia include a Barberousse (a mixture of 3 different rums, apricot and pomegranate juice) and a Tortuga Cobbler (with Aperol, grapefruit, raspberry juice and rum from The Tidal Rum).
  • Anderson’s Bar – guests can indulge in a boutique distillery and a menu of craft rums and gins. As an intimate bar, this is the perfect spot for a cosy drink, day or night. Throughout the winter, The Tidal Rum will create a unique rum in the onboard still, and in the summer attentions turn to crafting bespoke Marabelle Gin.
  • Infinity – fresh for Arvia, this swim-up bar is the ideal choice for guests to refresh with a cocktail or two.

For the more casual nourishment, Arvia features the Vistas Café Bar that proudly answers all your pâtisserie needs with plenty of sweet treats, Costa coffee and glorious ocean views. Ripples deal purely in ice cream smiles as the established onboard Gelateria.

In partnership with Snowflake Luxury Gelato, Ripples serve gelato cones, cakes, sundaes that are bound to keep you sweet. Savoury saviours Taste 360 host a range of burgers, hot dogs, oven-baked pizza, authentic street food and special dishes from Shivi Ramoutar and José Pizarro.

If in search of contemporary flavours, look no further than The Olive Grove for Mediterranean delights with a menu made up of the region’s finest, from Greek mezze to Moroccan lamb tagine. The Keel and Cow serve dry-aged steaks, a raft of British classics and their signature burger The Prime Minister. Contemporary Indian cuisines can be perused at the stylish Sindhu restaurant.

Stoic and traditional British ingredients gain a modern twist and accompany opulent wines, impeccable service surrounded by elegant settings and pertinent ocean views. To bring the dining experience alive, The Limelight Club offers adults an evening of entertainment on top of a three-course meal, and the sophisticated 710 Club – crafted to Music Director Gary Barlow’s creative vision combines luscious cocktails with a variety of musical genres.
