5 Reasons Why You Should Book A Mini Cruise!

5 Reasons Why You Should Book A Mini Cruise!

A lot of people think of cruises and think of long expensive holidays. But that’s not always the case. There are so many cruise lines now offering mini cruises to their customers. Many may think that going on a mini cruise might not give you the ‘real’ cruising experience but here are the reasons we believe that everyone should try a mini cruise once in their lifetime;

Good if you don’t have much holiday allowance

You or some of the people you are travelling with may have a very limited window in which you can travel in. For instance, you may have only 3 days of holiday allowance left but you still want to get one final trip in before the year is out. Cruise lines now offer 2, 3, 4 or even 5-night cruises from Southampton to Dublin, Amsterdam, Antwerp and further. So there are plenty of opportunities to squeeze a cruise in.

They’re cheap!

With mini cruises being shorter duration, prices are a lot cheaper than those that are over 5 nights. So if you’re looking for a really nice birthday or Christmas present for someone, you may just be able to spoil them with a cruise under £200!

Not sure if you like cruising

If you’ve never been on a cruise before, you may not want to spend a lot of money on a holiday you may not enjoy. Another reason people are hesitant about cruising is the fear of the rough seas. So a mini cruise really is the perfect opportunity to test the waters and see if cruising really is for you.

Good to try out different cruise lines

A lot of people normally sail with one cruise line, fall in love and the rest is history. But if you fancy seeing what another cruise line has to offer, then why not take a mini cruise and try before you ‘buy’ (the more expensive version)? This way you’re not committing a lot of time and money on something you’re unsure of. And you never know, you might just find your one true love.

Good if you don’t like flying

You or someone you know may have a fear of flying. If that is the case, then a mini cruise may be a good option for a short trip. With a lot of cruises sailing out of Southampton and other ports around the UK, you can still travel the world without having to actually get on a plane. Plus, cruise terminals are a lot less stressful than airports so you’ll also have a smooth start to your holiday!
