Breaking News: Independence Of The Seas Pulled From Southampton 2020

Royal Caribbean have just released the news that Independence of the Seas will no longer be sailing from Southampton in 2020. The ship will now sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, rather than Southampton as originally planned. The decision has been made in order to respond to the high interest in the line’s new Caribbean private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Royal Caribbean are offering full refunds and a ‘Future Cruise Credit’ for use on an alternative sailing with the line which is valued at 25% of the cruise fare paid on the cancelled sailings. Princess Cruises has just announced the activation of Ocean Medallion on six more of its ships in 2020! Overall, 11 Princess Cruises ships will be Ocean Medallion-activated by the end of 2020.
