Cunard Announce Plans To Move Ship To Australia By 2019

Cunard have just unveiled plans to base Queen Elizabeth in Australia in 2019. The 2,068 passenger ship will have a two-month stint in Australia and will sail from Sydney and Melbourne on seven cruises to New Zealand, Australia and Tasmania. They will include two round-trip New Zealand voyages, one from Sydney and one from Melbourne, plus three round-trip voyages that include Tasmanian itineraries- two from Melbourne and one from Sydney. Star-Studded Guest Speaker Line-Up Unveiled For Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises has just revealed a guest speaker line-up with several celebrity names. Names from across the world of royalty, entertainment, politics and sport will speak on Crown Princess, one of the cruise line’s Southampton-based ships for this spring and summer. This marks the first time that Princess has introduced a speaker programme on one of its UK ships and it forms part of Princess’ Encounters with Discovery speaker series. Cruisers Are Outraged As Gratuities Are On The Rise Again

It has just been confirmed that Holland America Line have increased their gratuity amounts. HAL guests will see the increase from May 1st 2017 and the amount will rise 8%, from $12.50 to $13.50 a day. The recommended rate for suite guests will rise from $13.50 to $15 (an 11% increase). The cruise line last increased their gratuities in December 2015. The gratuity is automatically added to a passenger’s account but can be altered by visiting guest services.
